Corkhunt stores your email address, hashed password, name, username, profile settings and acceptance of the terms. We use this information for your account, security and the features you request.
Session cookies are necessary for signing in. A language-preference cookie remembers your choice. This version uses no marketing cookies or analytics. Profiles are private by default. Location will only be added with your choice in a later version.
When you scan a label, Corkhunt sends a resized photo without embedded metadata to Google Gemini. Corkhunt does not store the photo. Google processes the image under its API terms and may retain data for service security. Do not include faces or personal documents in your label photo.
Your wine journal stores confirmed wine details, ratings, notes and visibility. Check-ins are private by default. Shared check-ins are visible to mutually connected friends and trigger in-app notifications. Removing a connection removes access. Wine identities from Liv-ex LWIN are adapted under CC BY 4.0.
You can download your account data and delete your account from your profile. Deletion removes your account, sessions and linked personal records. Backups may temporarily retain an earlier copy.
The operator, contact details, service providers and retention periods must be finalised before a public launch. Corkhunt is currently in early access.
